The company recently announced on social media: "Orders are piling up, our advanced radar-equipped excavation bucket is ready and can be shipped to customers worldwide."

Last month, the Swedish equipment attachment manufacturer Engcon announced that it has partnered with Rodradar to integrate the bucket into its quick coupler and tiltrotator systems.

According to Engcon, the quick coupler combined with the Rodradar technology will be available in the first quarter of this year, with the tiltrotator system following later this year.

It is reported that the bucket is equipped with GPR at its bottom, which scans for underground utilities as the bucket moves across the ground. This allows excavator operators to know the location of subsurface utilities to avoid damage, enabling them to dig with confidence without worrying about accidental strikes.

By simply pressing a button on the touchscreen, the GPR scans the ground. A tablet then displays the depth and distance of the detected underground utilities. When a utility is detected, an alarm is triggered, and a message with a red background appears on the screen indicating the detection.

Rodradar states that this system uses advanced algorithms to classify radar echoes.

Yuval Barnea, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Rodradar, said: "This partnership is a significant step forward for both companies, allowing us to provide unparalleled value to the construction industry and set new standards for operational excellence."
